St. Johns' Arts and Crafts Fair. 2nd August till 10th August

The Art & Crafts Fair at St. John's church, Worsthorne is a well established annual event, taking place each year in August. This year's fair will be the 34th and runs from Saturday August 2nd to Sunday August 10th, opening from 2 pm to 8.30 pm each day. There is a modest entrance fee.

The main part of the fair consists of 70 or so craft stalls, including paintings, jewellery, cards, glass, chocolates, textiles, gingerbread, and other craft and gift wares. There is a cafe, providing drinks and cakes, including the ever-popular lemon meringue pie.

The church itself is given over to a free exhibition with an annual theme. The theme for 2008 is “Tell us a story” and exhibitors will include Worsthorne Primary  School, Towneley Hall, Burnley library, the Burnley Express, and several others. Also in the church are daily events: storytime for children at 2.15 pm: organ recitals at 3.00 pm; and a short evening entertainment by local actors, presenters and musicians.


There is a modest entrance fee.
